The tech giant has unveiled an innovative software solution that allows users to easily access local documents and online content using a simple keyboard shortcut. This feature significantly improves navigation within the device.
Although the company rarely releases tools specifically for desktop platforms, this time it decided to expand the availability of its services. The new product offers functionality similar to the popular Spotlight feature found on Apple’s operating system.
Activation is done by pressing the “Alt + Space” keys, after which a search bar appears. Users can search local apps, cloud-stored data, as well as information available online through this interface.
What sets this tool apart is the integration of advanced artificial intelligence, enabling near-instant access to requested content, further enhancing daily productivity.
In addition to core features, the tool includes the Google Lens utility. It allows users to recognize on-screen content, translate text, copy information, perform visual searches, and solve basic math problems.
However, availability is currently limited. The tool is in an experimental phase, supports only the English language, and is accessible exclusively in the United States. Users in the Balkans and surrounding regions will have to wait for the official global release.
